Established in 1886, Fort Myers nestles along the scenic shoreline of the Caloosahatchee River in Lee County near Sanibel Island.  Ft Myers is an interesting blend of young and old with a population whose median age is 32.

The City of Ft Myers is home to the historic winter residences of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. Extensive renovation of  historic downtown Fort Myers is underway along the waterfront causing much interest with new restaurants, nightclubs, apartments, and artistic venues.

Throughout the year, Southwest Florida residents and visitors enjoy cultural events overlooking the river at Centennial Park and the Fort Myers Yacht Basin.  Fort Myers is a place lush with tropical wildlife, gorgeous white sand beaches and hundreds of uninhabited islands.  It is a perfect place for a tropical getaway for seashell enthusiasts, beach loungers, and enjoying the family.
