Established in 1886, Fort Myers sits along the scenic shoreline of the Caloosahatchee River in Lee County near Sanibel Island.  Ft Myers is an interesting blend of young and old with a population whose median age is 32.

The City of Fort Myers is home to the historic winter residences of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford.  The waterfront renovation of  historic downtown Fort Myers is underway  with new restaurants, nightclubs, apartments, and artistic venues adding much interest to the area.

Throughout the year, Southwest Florida residents and visitors enjoy cultural events overlooking the river at Centennial Park and the Fort Myers Yacht Basin.  Fort Myers is a place lush with tropical wildlife, and pristine white sand beaches and a perfect place for a tropical getaway.
